This work that bridges the physical distance between the musicians and cultures of this planet is a worth listening masterpiece that was produced by Playing For Change Foundation whose aim is to ‘bring peace through music’.
The creator of Playing for Change, Mark Johnson, tells that this great journey was born out of the idea that people have to inspire each other to come together as a human race. He believed music was the best way to do this. The project started four years ago in the streets of Santa Monica, California. They recorded a street musician, Roger Ridley, performing the song ‘Stand by me’. They travelled all over the world from New Orleans to New Mexico, from Barcelona to Tel Aviv, to Dublin, and several African villages. These musicians may have not seen or spoken to each other before but you will see that the music speaks on behalf of them.
